Try kayak.com on tuesday night, wednesday and thursday mornings; and keep monitoring the prices. It usually gets cheaper at those times. Also while searching put destination as NYC (and not JFK).. Good luck!

Try getting them from Southwest.com. If you get your ticket at LEAST two weeks prior to take off, you could get a round trip for roughly $200 whereas,.. other airlines will be roughly $300.
