you have to pack your bag ready, at airport they have to do published fares only. you go to travel agent just outside airport, they will do you a last min flight. (take a book to read sarnies to eat, and a bottle of water to drink)

Etihad is Brilliant, very often when I went with them they were 1/2 empty, good food and the staff really look after you.

The days of going to the airport and hoping to get a “standby” seat for a deep discount are long gone. There is no such ticket anymore.

Many airlines only allow “standby” on flights for which you are not ticketed when you pay the differance between your cheap restricted ticket to the full coach class unrestricted fare.

At the very least, you must already have a ticket in hand to even be able to be put on the standby list for any flight. Buy yourself the cheapest ticket you can find on the internet and don’t go to the airport hoping to get any deals. You could be left buying a very expensive walk up, full fare ticket to get to your destination.

you need to get a passes from those people working in the airline, it is part of there benefits to share that kind of passes to their family & freinds….once you have that, you can make your reservation for stand-by pass. yes, it cost 1/2 of the regular price…. think about vegas-newyork it cost only about $100+ for a round trip..
