Since jet fuel is one third of the cost of operating an airline, economically your plan is not feasible You would also have to double the amount of airplanes in the sky at any given time, and also either have to double the amount of gates or have space for every cargo plane to land and unload, which is also one of the major expenses of operating an airline. Also, besides the executives, the pilots are the most expensive employees on any given airline, and you want to double the amount of pilots, too? Not to mention having to double the amount of airplanes needed for every airline, the most costly part of running an airline, I could go on and on about this. No offense, but your idea is one of the most ridiculous ideas I’ve ever heard.

The only problem with this is your last sentence. Airlines lose luggage. Period.
