Children are half the size of adults and don’t get half price tickets. I am about 1/2 the size of some adults (100 lbs), and I don;t get half price tickets. Getting on a plane is not a medical procedure, weight should not matter.

You pay for the seats. If you take up two, pay for two.
Erik
yes, because there Lard A$% is taken up spaces

i think thats stupid what gives you that idea! cause sometimes its not their fault there fat so they shouldn’t have to pay twice the normal amount.

Airlines DO require a person to purchase two seats under some circumstances. I have seen it enforced. This policy is not widely publicized, but if airline crew or airport agents feel that the size of one passenger would intrude on, or harm another passenger, then it is required to buy an ‘extra seat” ticket.

Yes, they should pay for two tickets. I have been squeezed into half of my seat because the person next to me needed 1 1/2 seats. We both paid the same price for a seat. Is it fair to me that I have only half a seat and have to fly in extreme discomfort even though I paid for a full seat?
You can argue that it’s “not their fault.” Even if that’s true, it is indisputably not my fault. Yet, I’m the one who gets penalized by losing part of my seat.
If I were obese, I would happily pay for two seats. It would ensure my own comfort, not to mention being courteous to the person who would have had to sit next to me and lose half of their seat.
