I need to travel with my cat from South Korea to India. Which airlines allow a cat in the cabin?

Barbara A asked:

Specifically, airlines servicing Asia, do any allow cats in the cabin?

Korean Airlines allow pets under 5 kg (11 lbs) to fly in the cabin with you. They say that the pet must weigh under 5 kg including the kennel, and pets weighing over 5 kg with the kennel must fly in the cargo, so find a lightweight kennel if you can. However, it’s been my experience that most airlines aren’t that strict if your cat and kennel are a tad bit over their weight restriction. I know this because I’ve flown with my cats across the world numerous times, using various airlines (Korean Airline being one of them, but I haven’t flown with them in a while) depending on my location and destination. My current cat is a little old lady, but my previous cat was bigger and he was slightly over the weight limit with the kennel (never had problems flying him anywhere though!). Best thing to do is go to their website, you will be able to find additional information about traveling with your pet and all sorts of things you will need to know in order to prepare for your travel. Good luck!
