What is the best airline as far as dogs traveling?

peggysus asked:

I will be moving internationally soon and have 2 dogs. I’ve heard aweful things about airlines mistreating animals. I’d like to avoid that situation…

call your local airline and ask them for how they treat there animals, and if you are able to bring them with you

Make sure that you have all of the proper import permits and health certificates. (Many countries require a quarintine period before you pets are allowed in the country). If your dogs are small and can fit in a under the seat carrier any airline will do great but call to check on thier policy. Most Charge about 80 each way to bring your pet in a carrier. If you have a large dog then contact you airline directly to find out if the flight you will be on has a PRESSURIZED and TEMPATURE CONTROLLED cargo area for your dog, some planes do some dont even on the same airline.
